Content
In this course the student will apply the concepts of clinical epidemiology in the clinical context of patient-related studies.

NB. Preparation for the REDCap workshop on the second day of the course:
To be able to follow the advanced REDCap workshop data import/export you must have completed the e-learning REDCap (IMO).
This e-learning module is offered in the LMS environment: eCRF Design and Data Capture with REDCap (capp12.nl)
Admission is only possible if you meet the following conditions:
1. You have completed all e-learning components in the LMS environment (theoretical test questions).
2. You have completed all assignments within your own training project in REDCap as described in the e-learning module under "Part 3: Data Capture with REDCap – Exercises" (practical test assignments)
This is checked in advance by the course organizer and the IMO department.
For the advanced workshop you will need to complete several exercises with the help of SPSS. The latest version of this application is available in the RUG workspace (uwp.rug.nl) or the UMCG workspace (access.umcg.nl).
You can also purchase a campus license version of SPSS 28 for a special price at surfspot.nl, so that you can install it locally on your own laptop of desktop.
NB: If you are a PhD student, please email Noha El-Baz whether or not you will have done the mandatory RDM Awareness e-learning from the GSMS before the start of the course Basic Clinical Epidemiology.
Assessment
At least a presence of 80% and a mandatory written exam.
